Dancing with the Stars‘ Britt Stewart has found her forever dance partner!
The professional dancer and choreographer married actor Daniel Durant at Riata Ranch in Santa Margarita, California, on Saturday, Aug. 23 — just one day short of exactly three years since they met and later fell in love after competing together on season 31 of DWTS.
“I never could imagine what my wedding would be like and it still feels a little bit like a dream. But it’s real. It’s happening!” Durant tells PEOPLE, with Stewart adding, “I was never the little girl that had big dreams of a fairy-tale wedding. So when I describe our wedding, I want it to feel like an abundance of love connecting everyone there!”

Among the 110 wedding guests was DWTS “family,” including: judge Derek Hough and wife Hayley Erbert, who was maid of honor; co-hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro; Stewart’s season 29 dance partner Johnny Weir, who was a bridesmaid; and professional dancers Jenna Johnson, Rylee Arnold, Ezra Sosa, Emma Slater, Alan Bersten, Daniella Karagach, Brandon Armstrong, Witney Carson, and more.
Also in attendance was Durant’s CODA costars Troy Kotsur and Marlee Matlin, who also attended the “garden party meets Italian summer” welcome party on Friday, Aug. 22, which kicked off the festivities with wood-fired pizza and s’mores.
Stewart and Durant, both 35, envisioned a wedding theme of “connection.”

“We want to feel the connection between the both of us, our family, our closest friends and the nature that will surround us!” Stewart shares. “Our vision for our wedding was to really celebrate and experience the love that we have created and continue to create with each other!”
The couple’s Coastal California venue, nestled in the rolling hills of Santa Margarita, was just far away enough from Los Angeles to “feel special.”
“When we visited the location, we just knew,” Stewart remembers. “The vibe was amazing, the nature and wildlife surrounding us felt exactly what we wanted for our wedding.”

Wearing a “classic” black tuxedo from The Black Tux, Gucci sneakers and his late grandfather’s ring, Durant walked down the aisle escorted by his mother, Lori, as an instrumental version of The Beatles’ “Blackbird” played.
“Without her adopting me, I would not be where I am today,” the CODA star says.
Stewart wanted “the abundance of love to radiate throughout the whole ceremony,” so she made her way down the aisle initially alone, and then with both her parents, to “528 Hz Love Frequency.”

The bride turned heads wearing Vivienne Westwood’s “Galaxy Cape Gown” and Ofrenda Studio’s “Nuit Botanical Embroidered Veil,” both purchased from LOHO Bride. The pearl-white satin dress features a cinched waist, georgette drape across the décolletage and an 18th-century Watteau-style train for added drama. Meanwhile, the tulle veil’s sprinkle of botanical flowers blended right in with the ranch’s breathtaking scenery.
Stewart’s soft updo was styled by Larranisha Russell and her makeup applied by Robert Bryan.

“I love Britt’s soul the most, that she is a strong leader and her sense of humor. If I fall, I know she will be the first to catch me,” Durant says. “I just can’t wait to call Britt my wife … I want to show off that I’m all Britt’s!”
“I am the yin to his yang,” Stewart adds. “… My soul has been waiting for his! I love that he is unique in every way possible and will surprise me every day for the rest of my life. I will never be bored with him and I need that! Our life together brings me so much joy. Daniel calms my nervous system and he is home.”
The couple, who had a private first look earlier in the day, exchanged James Allen wedding bands, and shared their vows in American Sign Language.

“I also asked my childhood interpreter, Doug Boen-Bailey, to interpret for me at the wedding,” says Durant, who has been deaf since birth. “It feels full circle to have him interpret in this monumental moment in my life.”
David Kurs, the artistic director of Deaf West Theatre, the non-profit arts organization that partnered with Center Theatre Group last year for the ASL-infused revival of the Green Day musical American Idiot in which Durant starred, officiated the ceremony.
“I didn’t have a strong deaf male role model in my life growing up. When I moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and met David, he quickly became that example for me,” Durant explains. “He’s always had my back since day one. He’s also an amazing family man and I’m sure he will have an influence on me when that time comes for Britt and I.”
Because “food is one of [their] love languages,” a non-negotiable for the couple was great cuisine, so it’s no surprise that everyone was “absolutely blown away” by what was cooked up.

A variety of appetizers were passed around during cocktail hour while a plated meal was served for dinner. Field to Table catered the wedding, taking special precaution of Stewart’s “severe gluten and shrimp allergy.”
The team created the “perfect” menu composed of the couple’s favorite foods, inspired by their favorite restaurants. Highlights included an “out-of-this world” cheese and charcuterie table, and an abundance of oysters, caviar, sushi and tacos. Signature cocktails were named after their cats, Hudson and Orlando.
Just Baked made Stewart’s “gluten-free dreams come true” by creating a long, rectangle-shaped cake with fresh fruit and flowers.

Because Stewart and Durant waltzed their way into each other’s hearts, their wedding music was especially important to them. For their first dance, they selected “Forever and a Day” by Benson Boone because they “both felt so aligned with the words.” DJ Ryan from Music Makes You Move and live singer Sakari Greenwell kept the party going and everyone dancing.
Stewart surprised her new husband with friends who specialize in interpreting music for the deaf community. The group signed a few songs throughout the night.
The celebration concluded with a “very casual” family-only farewell brunch on Sunday, Aug. 24.

Stewart and Durant met on the DWTS set on Aug. 24, 2022, and fell in love not long after they placed fifth. They revealed their romance to the world on Valentine’s Day 2023, and got engaged that Christmas during a surprise proposal on a hike in Lake Arrowhead, California.
“We really were teammates who became good friends that after the season finished at the finale, we were like, ‘I don’t know if we can not see each other every single day,’ ” Stewart told PEOPLE in November 2024. “And then that’s how we fell into dating. So I think it was that foundation of friendship that really set the stage for our relationship, and my hope is that will continue through our marriage.”
Now, the couple is waiting for “the universe to show [them] when the time is right” to start planning their future family.

“The next chapter for us is all about growth and building,” Stewart says. “We really want to continue to evolve as individuals but prioritize our family and what we are creating together. That means everything… a family, a home, etc. We also want this next chapter to allow us to enjoy each other too. Have fun, life is short!”
